Or abandoning support for 32-bit applications in Mojave (probably so they could use the savings on library binaries to keep selling Macbooks with woefully undersized SSD's. Believing the future is USB-C and subjecting us all to dongle-hell (not to mention destroyed computers from incompatible/poorly implemented USB specs etc), for example. The flipside of that, however, is that Apple's eagerness as an early-adopter can make things very inconvenient for the users. In the end, I hope everyone will benefit. I think Apple jumping in head-first is a good sign, as they push a lot of weight around. Windows on ARM has been a thing for a while, but it's always been in need of serious refreshing. I'm hoping that ARM for Desktop becomes a thing of the future, as well as other open-source RISC chips in the desktop-computing space.
